Considering enrolling in a photography workshop but the
travel, expense and time away from home would not be a good fit for your
schedule? In response to numerous workshop inquiries we will be conducting
workshops in Mississippi quarterly. The
good news is that not only are the workshops affordable they will be
conducted on weekends ( One and two-day workshops) right here in central Mississippi. We recognize
the fact that there is no shortage of good books you can read to increase
your knowledge of photography through independent study. If you are more
interested in independent study and would prefer an affordable online
photography workshop click on the link below to learn how to get started. However, if you would
prefer the camaraderie of being a part of a like minded group that
shares your passion for photography as well as the opportunity to
increase your understanding, receive positive reinforcement and refine your visualization
and composition skills...then the Mississippi Photography Workshop may be
for you.
A
workshop in Mississippi? Absolutely. Although I was not born in
Mississippi, I
consider myself fortunate to live in a state that offers so much to its
citizens in the way of cultural and scenic diversity. The Mississippi
coast allows access to the Gulf of
Mexico with its beaches, islands, forts, lighthouses, ship yards,
shrimp boats, and space center. As you travel Northwest from the coast
you are greeted by the mighty Mississippi river, historic ruins and
architecture, civil war battlegrounds, military parks and old cemeteries.
The historic Trace begins in Natchez and runs to the rolling foothills of the
Smoky Mountains. Along the way you can visit old cypress swamps, stop and
rest along the scenic Barnett Reservoir or venture west off the trace
through the cotton and soybean fields of the Mississippi delta.
Mississippi has it all. I have enjoyed seeing, experiencing and photographing the
native flowers, trees, rivers,
creeks, streams, swamps, delta cotton, soybean fields, great pine forests, and thousand year old oaks. We are one of the few
states where our children can go freshwater and saltwater fishing, see a
wide range of native birds, insects, mammals, ducks, geese, quail,
rabbits, fox, raccoons, possum, squirrel, deer, bear, wildcats and coyotes without
leaving our state. A photography workshop in Mississippi? Where else but
Mississippi?
